Geneious, our flagship product, is a powerful and integrated suite of molecular biology and NGS analysis tools.  Within its field, it is the most popular software solution and has more academic citations than anyone other comparable offering.  It is present in over 3,000 commercial, government and academic accounts across the globe and usage has grown continuously since its introduction over a decade ago.  In addition, we have recently announced the launch of our new, complementary, service to support precision antibody discovery, which will deepen and strengthen our commitment to commercial customers involved in the research and development of biologic drugs.

As we continue to grow, a new role has opened to support our Americas sales activities.  Based in our central Auckland HQ in New Zealand, we are seeking someone with a love of science and software to join our inside sales team to continue to drive uptake of our solutions.  Within the role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of a sales pipeline including lead generation, qualifications, quoting and successful closure of new business
  • Nurturing ongoing relationships within new and existing accounts
  • Supporting our broader Americas sales team, including in-market salespeople and scientists
  • Collaborating with other members of the global inside sales team
  • Analysing and reporting on activity within your area of the business
  • Other duties as required to achieve overall sales objectives

While we retain an open mind about the kind of candidate that will be best placed to make a success of this role, the following will definitely improve your chances of getting an interview:

  • Relevant commercial sales experience
  • A science and/or technology background, whether through work experience or academic study
  • Excellent command of the English language, particularly in its written form
  • Being currently, physically based in New Zealand with a legal right to work here indefinitely
